Muslim Travelers:

New York: If you are Muslim and traveling to Saudi Arabia, then you must provide an original, completed, signed and notarized statement letter. A sample can be found within the kit.

Official Invitation:

Document certified by both the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The invitation should include inviting company's location and type of business. In addition, it must clearly state the applicant's name, nationality, position, length of visa, purpose of travel, and number of entries requested. The registration number of the host company will be printed on the invitation. No Chamber of Commerce certification is needed for invitations issued by a government company such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Ma'aden, or the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority.

Certificate of Incorporation:

New York and Washington, DC: You must provide a copy of the business registration of the Saudi company inviting or sponsoring your trip.  The copy must have a stamp of approval issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Business Cover Letter:

Houston:

You are required to provide an original Business Cover Letter from your U.S.-based company. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays a U.S. mailing address. Use the sample Business Cover Letter in the kit to complete your letter.

In addition to the language provided in the sample, your Business Cover Letter must:

  • Include the name, address, and phone number of the company located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Include your position, which must match the position referred to in the invitation letter
  • State the Civil Registration Number of the company in Saudi Arabia
  • Include a detailed explanation of the nature of your work with your company in the U.S.
  • Include your passport number and date of issue
  • Include your date of birth
  • Must be addressed to the Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Houston

Note: If you are a business partner/owner of a USA company, then you must provide an official document detailing this information. An example of an acceptable document is a Corporate Registration Certificate. This must be provided along with a business cover letter.


Los Angeles:

Letter from employer or sponsoring company in the US, on company letterhead, and a copy of the US company's business license.
The letter must instroduce the applicant, indicate the applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and explain the purpose of visit to Saudi Arabia. The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and provide contact information in Saudi Arabia. This letter must also provide a clear and detailed description of the nature of business this company conducts.


New York:

You are required to provide a notarized original Business Cover Letter from your U.S.-based company. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays a U.S. mailing address. Use the included sample Business Cover Letter to complete your letter. In addition to the language provided in the sample, your Business Cover Letter must:

  • Include the name, address, and phone number of the company located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Include your position, which must match the position referred to in the invitation letter
  • State the Civil Registration Number of the company in Saudi Arabia
  • Display the official company seal

eVisa Eligibility

The Government of Saudi Arabia requires travelers with your nationality to obtain an eVisa. Travelers will receive an electronic authorization from the government to enter Saudi Arabia. It is the equivalent to a visa, but no stamp or label is placed in the passport. To be eligible the traveler must:

  • Hold a passport valid at least six months on entry with one blank visa page
  • Hold proof of sufficient funds
  • Hold proof of onward/return flights
  • Comply with all requirements stated on the eVisa application

Original and one copy of College or University Degree, together with official transcripts notarized and sealed by the registrar's office, and including the social security number of the applicant. (When being shipped directly from the University applicant name must be placed on the outside of sealed envelope). The degree must correspond to the field of employment.

Original and one copy of Technical Training Certificates, notarized and authenticated by your State Secretary.

A Letter of Authorization for the authentication of documents must be provided.

If the applicant has worked in Saudi Arabia before and previous employment ended within the last three years, a release letter from the previous employer is required.

The Saudi Consulate requires a background check report in order to process your application. Travisa will complete this registration on your behalf once we receive your application form and supporting documents. You must sign and complete the Background Check Authorization Form included in your Visa Application Kit, which you will receive once you have placed your order. The background check must be used within 30 days of issuance. A $60.00 service fee applies.

Employment Contract:

The original and one copy of the employment contract signed by both the sponsor and the applicant. The position mentioned in the contract should match the position mentioned in the block visa reference, and should be supported by the academic degree and major of the applicant.

Houston: The Employment Contract must be legalized by the Saudi Arabisa Foreign Ministry prior to submission.

Special Instructions:

Applicants must be physically present in the United States to apply for a Saudi Arabian Work Visa, and must be able to prove this to the satisfaction of the Saudi Consulate. If the applicant has ever been in Saudi Arabia the Exit Letter must be attached inside the passport. If the passport has no previous Saudi Arabian visa and Exit Letter, the Consulate may require additional documentation such as a notarized letter attesting the applicant is in the US, or in some cases may require a personal interview.

Official Invitation:

An official invitation/visa approval notification issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and provided by host/sponsor in Saudi Arabia.

Houston: The invitation must be addressed to the Royal Saudi Arabian Consulate in Houston.

Letter from employer or sponsoring company in the US, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit to Saudi Arabia. The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Saudi Arabia.

New York: Notarized letter certified by a county clerk from employer or sponsoring company in the U.S., on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit to Saudi Arabia. The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Saudi Arabia.

Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary from an airline or travel agency.

New York: You must provide a copy of your itinerary or e-ticket that displays your round trip travel and entry/exit dates for your destination. The provided copy must show your full name as it appears in your passport.

Special Instructions:

Approval for this visa will be processed directly from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to a particular Consulate in the United States. The visa application must be processed in the location where the approval is registered.

Note: All required Saudi documents the traveler’s name appears on, MUST match the passport exactly.

You must provide one fully completed copy of the visa application form found in the application kit. The application form must:

  • Include answers for all fields
  • Display your full name as it appears in your passport
  • Be signed
  • Include your mobile phone number

You must provide one color, passport-type photograph that meets the following criteria:

We will complete this registration on your behalf once we receive your application form and supporting documents; we cannot use an Enjaz provided by applicants. A $65.00 service fee and an additional business processing day apply.

Official Invitation:

Washington, DC:

An invitation issued by the Foreign Ministry in Saudi Arabia is required. The residence permit holder who you are joining in Saudi Arabia is responsible for obtaining the invitation. The letter must:

  • Include the full local Saudi address and phone number of the individual holding the residence permit
  • Request a visa with the same validity and number of entries as in your visa application form
  • Be addressed to the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington DC

Applicants Under the Age of 18:

Minors traveling alone or with one parent must submit a notarized letter of authorization, in either English or Arabic, signed by both parents or legal guardians.

Residency Status:

Proof of Valid Residency Permit (Dependents Only): Dependents applying for a visa must provide a photocopy of the valid Saudi residency card (Iqama card) of the primary permit holder. You must also include a photocopy of primary permit holder's passport information page and a photocopy of that individual's work permit.
